Applicants are recommended to read through the following steps in order to determine how to view their MICAT result 2026.
MICAT does not announce fixed, official cut-off scores as part of its shortlisting, but there are expected minimum marks in each section and in subsequent selection rounds, based on analysis of admissions in previous years. Here’s what candidates need to know for 2026 admissions:
Sectional Cut-Offs (Expected)
Section
Expected Cut-Off (out of total marks)
Divergent- Convergent Thinking
8.5 to 12 (out of 30)
Verbal Ability
8 to 10 (out of 25)
Quantitative Ability & DI
6.5 to 7.5 (out of 25)
General Knowledge
5.5 to 6.5 (out of 25)
There is no declared overall cut-off for the total MICAT score; only sectional cut-offs are relied on for shortlisting.
You must also have a valid CAT, XAT (often 80th percentile and above), or GMAT score for eligibility.
Only candidates who clear all sectional cut-offs and the qualifying psychometric will be called for GE-PI, where further cut-offs apply.
After the merit list is released, the MICAT 2026 admissions procedure will be handled offline. Depending on their merit, shortlisted candidates will be invited to the Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds.
Students that are chosen must show up for the GE and PI rounds, which will take place in several places. The results of the CAT/XAT or GMAT exam, the psychometric test, and the GE and PI rounds will be used to judge the final selection. Within the allotted period, applicants should confirm their places by paying the necessary entrance fee.
