CHECKOUT IMPORTANT DATES
The MICAT 2026 syllabus is structured to assess a candidate’s personality, creativity, and aptitude relevant to communications, marketing, and management roles. It is divided into three main sections, each focusing on distinct skills. The first section, the Psychometric Test, evaluates personality traits, behavioral style, and decision-making aptitude through about 150 objective questions. This part doesn't have a syllabus in the traditional sense but focuses on honest self-assessment and consistent responses to personality-related items.
The second section in the MICAT Syllabus 2026 is the Descriptive Test, which tests creative writing and expression skills. Candidates are required to write essays, stories, and arguments related to business, social, and ethical issues. This section aims to gauge written communication, creativity, and the ability to articulate thoughts clearly, rather than relying on a fixed syllabus of topics.
The third section, Aptitude Test (Section C), comprises four subsections which have specific topic areas akin to other competitive exams. These include Verbal Ability (reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, sentence correction, para jumbles, idioms, and antonyms), Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation (arithmetic, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, mensuration, data interpretation sets, number systems, logarithms, time-speed-distance, and probability), General Awareness (business, brands, media, advertising, international business, sports, static GK, current affairs), and Divergent & Convergent Reasoning (logical puzzles, seating arrangements, coding-decoding, number series, data sufficiency, syllogisms, and visual reasoning). This broad syllabus in Section C aims to test analytical, logical, and lateral thinking skills comprehensively.
Thus, MICAT 2026 syllabus balances personality assessment, creative writing, and rigorous aptitude testing to select candidates suited for MICA’s specialized management programs.
