IBSAT (ICFAI Business School Aptitude Test) is a national PG–level entrance exam which is conducted annually by the ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education. This exam is for getting admission to MBA and PGPM programs at ICFAI Business School (IBS) campuses pan India. These include IBS Hyderabad, IBS Mumbai, IBS Bangalore, IBS Pune, IBS Gurgaon, IBS Kolkata, IBS Ahmedabad, IBS Jaipur, and IBS Dehradun. IBSAT in general, serves as a gateway for students aspiring to pursue a management degree at one of these prestigious institutions known for their strong academic foundations, case-based learning, and excellent placement records.
The aim of the IBSAT exam is to assess a candidate’s aptitude skills and readiness for management education. It tests key skills such as quantitative ability, data interpretation, data adequacy, vocabulary, analytical reasoning, and reading comprehension, all of which are essential to be successful in a rigorous MBA or PGPM program. The IBSAT exam usually follows a computer – based format with a total of 140 multiple-choice questions which are to be completed in 2 hours’ duration. The question paper is divided into four sections – Verbal Ability, Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude, and Data Adequacy & Data Interpretation.
