S&P Global Market Intelligence is seeking a senior research associate to join the Key Developments & Events team in Hyderabad. The team is responsible for tracking and the analyzing the filings, press releases and articles of the companies around the globe. Transforms analyzed information into usable intelligence and contributes to industry leading product delivery.

Job Description :

  1. Design and development of Java applications for SPDJI web sites and its feeder systems.
  2. Participate in multiple software development processes including Coding, Testing, De-bugging & Documentation.
  3. Develop software applications based on clear business specifications.
  4. Work on new initiatives and support existing Index applications.
  5. Perform Application & System Performance tuning and troubleshoot performance issues.
  6. Develop web based applications and build rich front-end user interfaces.
  7. Build applications with object oriented concepts and apply design patterns.
  8. Integrate in-house applications with various vendor software platforms.
  9. Setup development environment / sandbox for application development.
  10. Check-in application code changes into the source repository.
  11. Perform unit testing of application code and fix errors.
  12. Interface with databases to extract information and build reports.
  13. Effectively interact with customers, business users and IT staff.

Required Skills :

  1. Experience in Java, J2EE, JMS & Spring web framework.
  2. Experience in deploying Java/J2EE applications on Weblogic servers.
  3. Experience with Hibernate or other OR-mapping technologies.
  4. Experience with UNIX/Linux Operating System.
  5. Experience using system tools, source control systems, utilities and third-party products.
  6. Experience working with large datasets in Equity, Commodities, Forex, Futures and Options asset classes.
  7. Experience with Index/Benchmarks or Asset Management or Trading platforms.
  8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, with strong verbal and writing proficiencies.
