S&P Global Market Intelligence is seeking a senior research associate to join the Key Developments & Events team in Hyderabad. The team is responsible for tracking and the analyzing the filings, press releases and articles of the companies around the globe. Transforms analyzed information into usable intelligence and contributes to industry leading product delivery.

Job Description :

  1. Work in the Agile environment and adhere to all QA best practices.
  2. Perform functional testing, Database testing for wide range of enterprise applications.
  3. Attend, contribute in sprint planning sessions and design test approaches to test user stories within the same sprint and look for the opportunities to automate tests by identifying the areas so as to minimize retesting.
  4. Perform Functional, Integration, Regression, Re- testing and contribute to automation.
  5. Analyze product requirements and ensure the testing strategy is aligning a risk-based test approach mitigating risk exposure within all phases of testing; utilizing automated testing tools to continuously build automated regression test suite.
  6. Write test cases and scenarios from the requirements/designs; manage bug tracking; Test Analysis and Reporting
  7. Active co-operation/collaboration with the teams at various geographic locations
  8. Collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  9. Provide prompt response and support in resolving critical issues (along with the development team)
  10. Investigate new Testing Methodologies, keep abreast with latest advances/techniques and ramp up the team accordingly
  11. May require after hours/weekend work for production implementations.

Required Skills :


  1. Strong command of essential technologies: SQL scripting, PL/SQL,
  2. Should be able to create SQL queries that can parse and validate business rules/calculations across tables to ensure the maximum possible data coverage.
  3. Strong experience on Web testing and cross browser testing.
  4. Proficient with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies like Agile, QA methodologies, defect management system, and documentation.
  5. Experience in automation, automation frameworks and automation delivery preferred.
  6. Excellent Analytical and communication skills are essential, with strong verbal and writing proficiencies.
