Technical Skills:

  1. Must have a thorough understanding of web technologies and web architectures and a solid grounding in object oriented analysis and design, OOPS, C#, Dot Net framework
  2. Completely hands on and relevant experience with Dot Net Restful services, Web API 2.0,  ASP.NET, WCF, MVC, JavaScript, JQuery, HTML, C#, .Net web services, XML, Async Programming, MOQ, Swagger
  3. Good understanding of HTTP, DOM, IIS and how the browser works
  4. Ability to interpret business requirements and produce 3-tier architectures/object oriented designs. Ability to produce Functional and Technical Design documents
  5. Must be able to document existing systems by performing source code analysis.
 
Non-Technical Skills:

  1. At least 3-4 years of experience, preferably in Financial Services or Banking IT 
  2. Strong analytical, problem solving skills and debugging skills
  3. Significant experience developing applications/services under an onshore-offshore model. Ability to work as part of a geographically dispersed team, should be eager to learn new technologies
  4. Capable of effectively meeting time-sensitive deliverables with accuracy and a high level of attention to detail.
  5. Good time management skills. Ability to prioritize and multi-task, handling multiple efforts at once
 
Secondary Skills / Desired skills:

  1. Understanding of financial domains (Mutual Funds would be added advantage)
  2. Ability to coordinate with various teams to deliver projects successfully 
  3. Knowledge of UML design
  4. Understanding of CICS Web Services and DB2 Stored Procedures.
 
Role & Responsibilities:
 
The responsibilities of the individual will be to:

  1. Programming, conduct code reviews, and test software as needed
  2. Ensure Follow project plans and task are on track
  3. Ownership of application components and ensure timely delivery of the same
  4. Ensure quality of deliverables
  5. Work with development lead, SCRUM master and architecture team in understanding the requirements, designing and implementing.
  6. Write quality unit test cases 
  7. Participate in architecture, design and peer code reviews.
  8. Understand the build and deployment process and be a go to person for troubleshooting live issues.
  9. Work in Waterfall as well as Agile methodologies.
