The Global Equities Technology stack at J P Morgan is going through a strategic transformation (front to back). This is a multi-year program where the India Tech teams are involved heavily.  The technology stack used is predominantly Core Java, C# .NET, C++ and Sybase. We are hiring in the areas of Front Office, Middle Office, Risk Management and Client Intelligence Technologies.

Key Responsibilities:


  1. Hands on development of new applications and new components of existing systems using C++.
  2. Developer for the strategic UI implementation.
  3. Deliver solutions within the strategic application framework.
  4. Work with the business and quant analysts to understand use cases, functional and non-functional requirements.
  5. Collaborating with other developers in an agile environment.
  6. Participation in code reviews and sharing of knowledge with other members of the team.
  7. Provide a high level of user experience through an innovative and intuitive user interface.
  8. Ability to operate with minimal supervision, to agreed strategy, facing-off to business (Front Office) users.
  9. Report progress to management. Good communication skills will be paramount.

Essential skills:


  1. Significant previous hands-on experience and expert on C++.
  2. Very strong knowledge of C++
  3. Strong OO design skills with in-depth knowledge of object modelling and design patterns.
  4. Computer science background with an intellectual rigour.
  5. Ability to solve complex problems.
  6. Good communication and team-working skills.
 
Desirable skills:


  1. Experience of working in financial services with knowledge of derivatives products and lifecycle.
  2. Good knowledge of Java with some hands-on experience.
  3. UX Design
  4. Performance Tuning
  5. User Interface Automated Testing.
