Job description:

  1. Tech specialist with strong technical ability with 3-5 years of experience in Oracle and Performance tuning
  2. Experience with PL/SQL and Oracle, preferably with reporting background
  3. Should have exposure to OLTP and OLAP models
  4. Good communication skills
  5. Experienced in working on medium to large enterprise projects, preferably in financial services

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop into and as a subject matter expert in Database and Reporting
  2. Translate business requirements into technical documents/code
  3. Decompose architecture into implementable design elements and then develop the component
  4. Implement appropriate design standards, frameworks and patterns while designing and developing components
  5. Debug any issues that arise in system or user testing or in production and provide timely resolution as and when needed
  6. Converse with various data provider and consumer applications in their languages/terminologies (Oracle/SQL queries/PL-SQL Objects or front-end frameworks or any other technology)

Skills Required:

  1. Experience in Oracle, PL/SQL including exposure to any Reporting platform , Good understanding of OLTP and OLAP data models
  2. Knowledge of Linux/Unix (SUN/IBM) and shell scripting is preferable
  3. Working experience with Application servers would be a plus
  4. Exposure to Web Services would be an advantage
