Job Description:

Municipal Technology is responsible for managing 6 major applications for Muni bond bankers and traders.

These systems cover new deals & issuances as well as primary & secondary market trading. The Munis business has grown rapidly over the years and the technology requirements have become increasingly sophisticated. To meet these increasing demands, we are in need of a developer with solid experience in developing applications with either Java or Python technologies in the finance industry.

The role is for a position within Global Markets Front Office Technology to work closely with the business and other stakeholders. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality software on timescales in an intellectually challenging environment

Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for development and support of front office trading and derivative applications.
  2. The job involves the ability to analyze, design, develop and troubleshoot new and existing applications.
  3. Participate in full SDLC process - includes all the phases from requirement gathering to production implementation. Hands on design and development in required technologies
  4. End to end development responsibilities
  5. Provide quick technology solutions
  6. Interact and collaborate with global technology teams
  7. Responsible to handle user requests and production issues
  8. Open to learn and adopt new frameworks and technologies.
  9. Flawless and on time project delivery

Mandatory skills:

  1. Extensive working experience in Java OR Python. Must be open to work on Python
  2. Strong Analytical skills
  3. Strong in basic data structures and algorithms
  4. Strong in OOP concepts and Design Patterns
  5. DB (Oracle/Sybase/or any RDBMS) knowledge developer level
  6. Excellent communication / verbal skills

Requirements:

Education

Bachelors/Master degree in computer science or engineering
Certifications If Any 
Certifications on Domain / Programming

Experience Range:

3-5 Years

Desired skills:

Knowledge of Python / Java / Object Database knowledge
Knowledge of C++ a plus
Working knowledge on Unix/Linux
Scripting / Dynamic languages like Perl, Ruby etc.
Certifications on Domain / Programming
Work experience in Finance Domain
Experience in front office development and support a plus

Shift Type (Rotational Shifts/Fixed): Fixed
Process Timings: 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM
