Job notification in Vector Control Research Centre (VCRC) for Project Asst, Technician & DEO Posts.Eligible candidates can apply in prescribed application format on or before 18-11-2016


Project Assistant -1: 01 Post
Project Technician-III: 02 Posts
Project Technician-II: 16 Posts
Data Entry Operator (DEO): 01 Post
Candidate age should not be exceeding 30 years on the last date of receipt of filled in application. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved category candidates as per Govt of India norms.
Candidates should possess Graduation in Biological Science subjects from recognized university for Post 1, 12th pass in Science subjects and two years diploma (DMLT) for Post 2, Technician ?A? or equivalent with five year relevant experience eg 10th/ Matric/ High School/ equivalent with one year laboratory/ field experience in biomedical area for Post 3 & 12th pass in Science steam with Mathematics as a subject from recognized board & speed test of not less than 8000 key depressions per hour through speed test on computer for Post 4.
Shortlisted candidates will be called for written test.
Eligible candidates can send their application in prescribed format along with self attested copies of certificates in proof of date of birth, educational qualification (certificate/ statement of marks), experience to The Director, Vector Control Research Centre, Medical Complex, Indira Nagar, Puducherry ? 605006 on or before 18-11-2016.

About Vector Control Research Centre:
VCRC is one of the permanent institutes of Indian Council of Medical Research established in 1975 at Pondicherry.A centre of excellence for research and training in vector-borne diseases and control.and a WHO collaborating Centre for Research and Trainining in Lymphatic Filariasis and Integrated Methods of Vector Control.Situated at Puducherry, the Vector Control Research Centre (VCRC) is engaged on research on vector borne diseases such as Malaria, Filariasis, Dengue, Chikungunya, Japanese encephalitis (JE) and Leishmaniasis. Development of newer tools/products for vector identification, surveillance and control.Established a museum and developed DNA barcodes for several species of mosquitoes (vectors) from different regions of the country.Developed a production technology for a biolarvicide, Bacillus thuringiensis var. israelensis and transferred to 8 companies.
