THE HISTORY OF DISTRICT COURT, CUDDALORE DISTRICT PREVIOUSLY KNOWN AS SOUTH ARCOT DISTRICT While we go to read the legal history of India under the ruling of British, Sir.Thomas Manro made many revolutionary projects.In Monroes Commission decision made in 1814 to Judicial system by British imperialism, Being set up on the basis of Indian culture. During the year of 1843, the Principal Jurisdiction has been modified as Principal sadar ameen-Zilla Court to deal with all Civil nature of cases only. No appellate jurisdiction is allowed in this form of Courts. Thesesystem is followed only up to 1873.We came to know from the year of 1873 Civil Court Act the post of District Judges have been created. At the same time Criminal Court was formed as sadar dhivani adalat.
