Job notification in Sikkim Public Service Commission (SPSC) for 104 Junior Engineer Posts.Eligible candidates can apply in the prescribed application format on or before 30-09-2016.


Junior Engineer (Civil)-104
Candidates age should be between 18-30 years as on 31-07-2016. Age relaxation is applicable to 35 years for Bhutia Lepcha, Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes (Limboo Tamang), Primitive Tribe, 34 years for Backward Classes (Central List), 33 years for Backward Classes (State List) & other candidates is applicable as per rules.
Candidates should possess Diploma in Civil Engineering (LCE) from a recognized Engineering Institution or equivalent and above.
Candidates will be selected based on written examination & interview.
Eligible candidates send their application in the prescribed format along with self attested copies of all relevant certificates as mentioned in the notification, should reach the Secretary, Sikkim Public Service Commission, Old Tourism Office, M.G.Marg, Gangtok by hand or by post on or before 30-09-2016.

About Sikkim PSC:
sikkim became an integral part of the Indian Union in May, 1975. The Constitutional Provision under Article 315 to have a Public Service Commission for the State was fulfilled by constituting a State Public Service Commission in the year 1978. The Public Commission has actually started functioning from 1982 with the appointment of the Chairman and deputation of the staff from the State Government.Thereafter the Commission started to function in different rented buildings. At present the State Public Service Commission is located in the class rooms of the Old West Point School Complex.Consequent upon the decision of the Union Public Service Commission to declare Gangtok as one of the Centres for conducting Union Public Service Commission Examinations, the Sikkim Public Service Commission has been entrusted with the work of conducting Union Public Service Commission examinations.
