Candidates should possess Good academic record as defined by the university with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master's Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university & qualify in NET.
Selection will be based on interview.
Eligible candidates can submit seven copies of filled in application form and summary sheet in prescribed format along with seven sets of self attested copies of all certificates, mark sheets, evidence of teaching, research experience, production of Ph.D scholar, copies of published articles, certificate containing the record of date of birth, bank challan form & API score card etc., by speed post/ registered post only to the Sambalpur University, Jyoti Vihar, Burla, Sambalpur, Odisha-768019 on or before 01-08-2016. The Envelope containing the application should be super scribed with the Name of Department/ College and Post applied for in Block letters.

About Sambalpur University: 
The Sambalpur University Act was passed by the Odisha Legislature on tenth December, 1966 to fulfill following a long time back adored long for the all inclusive community of Western Odisha for establishment of a University.The University started working from first January, 1967 with Prof.Parsuram Mishra as the principle Vice-Chancellor.The University was started on fourth January, 1967 by Hon'ble Chancellor A.N.Khosla.The University started working in 1967 in a rented private working at Dhanupali, Sambalpur and in Government working at Ainthapali, Sambalpur from 1968 - 72.In the year 1973 the University was moved to the present grounds named Jyoti Vihar at Burla.The territorial domain of the University covers 10 area of the state of Odisha to be particular Sambalpur, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Deogarh, Bargarh, Bolangir, Subarnapur, Nawapara, Kalahandi, Boudh and Athamallik Sub-Division of Angul.
