Job notification in Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC),Odisha has given a notification for the special recruitment of 230 Junior Lecturer/ Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) vacancies under Higher Secondary Schools of ST & SC Development Department. Eligible candidates can apply online from 01-08-2017 to 21-08-2017.

Candidates age should be under 32 years and above 21 years of age on the 01-01-2017,i.e. he/she must have born not earlier than 02-01-1985 and not later than 01-01-1996.
Candidates should possess Master Degree in the subject concerned from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in aggregate or 2 years integrated Post Graduation M.Sc Course from Regional college of Education NCERT in the concerned subject with minimum 505 marks, B.Ed or equivalent Degree recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education,New Delhi as equivalent with B.Ed from a recognized University.
Based on Written Examination & Viva Voice Test.
Applicants required to pay Rs.300/-. Candidates belonging to SC/ST of Odisha by birth and person with disability are exempted form this payment.Eligible candidates can apply online through the website www.opsc.gov.in from 01-08-2017 to 21-08-2017 & send the hard copy of application form duly signed under declaration form and copies requisite certificates & documents etc.,and in an envelope should be superscribed as Application for recruitment to the post of Post Graduate Teachers under Science & Commerce Stream in Group B by Registered Post or Speed Post to Special Secretary, Odisha Public Service Commission, 19, Dr.P.K. Parija Road, Buxi Bazar, Cuttack-753001 on or before 31-08-2017.

About OPSC:
Royal Commission on superior services in India, 1924, referred to in short, as the Lee Commission, and now they find place in the Constitution of India in Articles 315 to 323. The Odisha Public Service Commission was constituted on 1st April, 1949 after it's bifurcation from the former Bihar and Odisha Joint Public Service Commission. At the time of creation of the Odisha Public Service Commission the strength of the Commission was three including Chairman . The strength increased to five in the year 1979 and further increased to six in the year 1996.

The Commission has acquired varied experiences and expertise in the matter of selection of personnel to various services of the Government of Odisha during its functioning for more than five decades. It has also gone a long way in achieving the purpose of drawing the best personnel for the public services of Odisha.
