The University of Mumbai (coolly known as Mumbai University or MU) is the head and most prepared open state school arranged in city of Mumbai in the state of Maharashtra in India.University of Mumbai has been given a situating of five stars by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council.It was known as the University of Bombay until 1996 when the city of Bombay was renamed Mumbai.University of Mumbai was set up in 1857 coming about upon Wood's Education Dispatch and is one amongst the underlying three universities in India, that is University of Calcutta and University of Madras.The school was built up by Dr. John Wilson (after whom Wilson College, Mumbai is named) in 1857 and is shown on the schools of Britain.
