Job Notification in Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC), for the recruitment of 889 Assistant Engineer (Civil, Mechanical) & Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical) vacancies in the Department of Water Resource. Eligible candidates may apply online from 22-06-2017 to 22-07-2017.

1. Assistant Engineer (Civil): 527 posts
2. Assistant Engineer (Mechanical): 73 posts
3. Junior Engineer (Civil): 246 posts
4. Junior Engineer (Mechanical): 43 posts
Candidates age limit should be between 18 to 35 years (For Jr Engineer Minimum age should be 21 years) for General, 38 years for Category-2A, 2B, 3A & 3B, 40 years for SC/ ST/ Category-1 for Both Posts.
Candidates should possess Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering for Assistant Engineer (Civil/ Mechanical), Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering for Junior Engineer (Civil/ Mechanical).
Based on Competitive Exam, Computer based recruitment test (CBRT).
Candidates should pay Rs. 300/- for General candidates and Rs. 150/- for Cat-2A/ 2B/ 3A/ 3B through e-payment Post Offices Only. There is no fee for SC/ ST/ Cat-1/ PH/ Ex-Serviceman candidates.

About KPSC: 
Before 1921, there was no Central Authority constituted in the State to urge Government and other Appointing Authorities in the matters of enlistment to the state normal organizations. Government and Appointing Authorities were making courses of action according to the guidelines set around Government from time to time. Through solicitation No. 1827:80 E.A.G.308, dated:16-05-1921, the Government constituted shockingly a central office for enlistments, named "Central Recruitment Board". This Board was joined to the work environment of the Government Secretariat till 1940. Government named a Public Service Commissioner for the State in its Order No. 3685-3735-C.B. 103-39-1, dated: 19-01-1940. The Public Service Commission was constituted under the acquirements of the Constitution of India on 18-05-1951. According to the obtainments of stipulation 14 of the Public Service Commission Regulations 1950, the staff of the Public Service Commissioner as it stayed on 18-05-1951, was continued as the center of the staff of the Public Service Commission.
