Indian Air Force Recruitment 2016 - for Airmen Posts

Job notification in Indian Air Force for Airmen Posts.Eligible candidates may walk in on 19 to 23-10-2016.


Airmen (Group X (Technical) Trades and Group Y (Non-Technical) (For Ground Training Instructor (GTI) and Indian Air Force Police [IAF (P)] only} Trades))
Candidates upper age limit should be 21 years as on date of enrollment (Candidates should be born between 08-01-1997 and 28-06-2000, Both days inclusive).
Candidates should have Passed Intermediate/ 10+2/ Equivalent Examination with Mathematics, Physics and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English or Passed 03 years Diploma Course in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (Design & Drafting), Mechanical Engineering (Foundry Technology)/ Relevant Disciplines from a Government recognized Polytechnic Institute with 50% marks in overall aggregate, and 50% marks in English in Diploma or in Intermediate/ Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Diploma Course for Group X (Technical) Trades and Passed Intermediate/ 10+2/ Equivalent Examination in any stream/subjects approved by Central/ State Education Boards with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English or 02 year Vocational Course from State Education Boards/ Councils which are listed in Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE) list, with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Vocational Course or in Intermediat
Candidates will be selected based on written test, physical fitness test, adaptability test & rally.
Eligible candidate may walk in rally with original certificates, mark sheets and other original documents & passport size photographs on 19 to 23-10-2016.

About Indian Air Force:
The Indian Air Force was officially established on 8 October 1932.Its first ac flight came into being on 01 Apr 1933.It possessed a strength of six RAF-trained officers and 19 Havai Sepoys (literally, air soldiers).The aircraft inventory comprised of four Westland Wapiti IIA army co-operation biplanes at Drigh Road as the A Flight nucleus of the planned No.1 (Army Co-operation) Squadron.Four-and-a-half years later, A Flight was in action for the first time from Miranshah, in North Waziristan, to support Indian Army operations against insurgent Bhittani tribesmen.
