ICAR-National Research Center for Banana (NRCB) has given an employment notification for the recruitment of Senior Research Fellow (SRF), Ph.D. Scholar, Technical Assistant vacancies purely on contractual and temporary basis for various projects. Eligible candidates can attend for walk in interview on 08-05-2017

1. Senior Research Fellow: 02 Posts
2. Ph.D. Scholar: 01 Post
3. Technical Assistant: 01 Post
Candidates age should not be more than 35 years for men and 40 years for women. Age relaxation will be applicable as per rules.
Candidates should have first class in M.Sc (Horticulture/ Agriculture/ Botany/ Life Sciences/ Biotechnology) for post 1,3, Ph.D (Plant Pathology/ Life Science) or M.Sc. (Plant Pathology/ Life Science/ Biotechnology) with NET qualification and 2 years of Research Experience for post 2.
Candidates will be selected based on interview.

ICAR-National Research Centre for Banana was established on 21st August 1993 at Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu by ICAR, New Delhi with an aim to increase the production and productivity of banana and plantains through mission mode basic and strategic research approaches.
The Centre works on four major thrust areas of research viz., Crop Improvement, Crop Production, Post Harvest Management and Crop Protection. It has well-equipped laboratories for tissue-culture, bio-technology, soil science, nutrient management, physiology, biochemistry, entomology, nematology, fungal, bacterial, viral pathology and post harvest technology research
