Applicants age should be in between 18 to 45 years (21 to 26 years for Sub Inspector of Police ) will be reckoned as on 01-01-2017. Age relaxation is admissible as per Government rules.
Candidates should Possess B.Com from recognized university/ institution affiliated in H.P. Government for S.No-1, B.Sc Agriculture degree from an University established by Law in India and accredited by Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) for S.No-2, have passed B.Sc. with Physics and Chemistry from a recognized University for S.No-3, B.E. / B. Tech.( Computer Science / Engineering or IT) / MCA / B or C Level of NIELIT with first Class or at least 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade for S.No-4, B.Sc Agriculture or B.Sc (Horticulture) from recognized University for S.No-5, 10+2 standard from recognized Board or its equivalent for S.No-6, 7, 9, Bachelors Degree in Computer Application/ Information Technology/ Computer Science or its equivalent for S.No-8, Matric or its equivalent for S.No-10. Based on applicants performance in Written Objective type Screening test/ Skill tests/ Physical/ Practical tests.
Applicants required to pay Rs. 360/- for General Category (including General Ex-Servicemen of HP relieved from Defence Services on their own request before completion of normal tenure, and reserved categories of other states), Rs. 120/- for General IRDP, Physically Handicapped, Ward of Freedom Fighter, Ward of Ex-Servicemen of HP, S.C. of H.P. /S.T. of H.P. /O.B.C. of H.P. About Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission:


Himachal Pradesh attained statehood on 25th January, 1971. Prior to this date, the function of Public Service Commission in respect of the civil services and posts in connection with the affairs of the Union Territory of Himachal Pradesh were being discharged by the Union Public Service Commission under Article 315 of the Constitution of India. It was, therefore, incumbent on the State to have its own Public Service Commission. However, since a State Public Service Commission could be constituted simultaneously with the attainment of Statehood, the Union Public Service Commission, on a request from the Governor of the State of Himachal Pradesh with the approval of the President of India, agreed to serve the needs of Himachal Pradesh till the establishment of a Public Service Commission for the State or for a period of three months from 25th January, 1971 whichever was earlier.
