Candidates should have Good academic record as defined by the concerned University with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master?s Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent Degree from an accredited foreign University with NET/ ALET/ SET/ Ph.D Qualification.

About Himachal Pradesh Agricultural University: 
Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya (now Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya) was set up on first November, 1978.The College of Agriculture (developed in May, 1966) encircled the center of new farm University.It is an ISO 9001:2008 ensured institution.The University has been given the charge for making obtainment for giving direction in cultivation and other cooperated branches of learning, empowering the movement of learning and arraignment of investigation and undertaking extension of such sciences, especially to the nation people of Himachal Pradesh.The University has four constituent colleges.The College of Agriculture has 13 workplaces, Dr.G.C.Negi College of Veterinary and Animal Science has 16 divisions, the College of Home Science has five workplaces and the College of Basic Sciences has four workplaces.
