Job Notification in Heavy Water Board for the recruitment of 61 Dy. Chief Fire Officer, Station Officer, Sub Officer & Other vacancies. Eligible candidates can apply online from 11-04-2017 to 25-04-2017.

5. Fireman/ A Group C, Non-Gazetted: 23 Posts
6. Driver-cum-operator/ A Group C, Non-Gazetted: 03 Posts
7. Driver (Ordinary Grade) Group C, Non -Gazetted: 15 Posts
Candidates age should be not more than 40 years for Post 1 to 3, not more than 32 years for Post 4, 6, between 18-25 years for Post 5, maximum 27 years for Post 7 as on 25-04-2017. Age relaxation is applicable as per rules.
Candidates should have Passed SSC or equivalent examination with Physics & Chemistry + Passed the Divisional Officers Course from the National Fire Service College or from CISF Fire Training Centre or Graduate/ Associate Member of the Institute of Fire Engineers, India/ London for Post 1.

SSC or equivalent + Valid Heavy Vehicle Driving Licence + certificate of Station Officers course of the National Fire Service College or from CISF Fire Training Centre or Graduate of the Institute of Fire Engineering, India/ London for Post 2.

SSC or equivalent plus Sub-Officers Course from National Fire Service College or from CISF Fire Training Centre for Post 3.

SSC or equivalent, experience as a Fireman in a well established Fire Service Organization for Post 4,SSC or equivalent for Post 5.

SSC or equivalent with valid Heavy Vehicle driving Licence for Post 6 & 10th class, must hold a clean and valid driving licence to drive Light and Heavy Vehicle for Post 7.
Based on Initial Screening & Performance In The Interview For Post 1.

Physical Assessment Test & Personal Interview For Post 2, Test For Remaining Posts.

About Heavy Water Board:

Heavy Water Board (HWB), a constituent unit of Industries and Minerals Sector under Department of Atomic Energy, is primarily responsible for production of Heavy Water (Deuterium Oxide-D2O) which is used as a 'moderator' and 'Coolant' in the nuclear power as well as research reactors. HWB has mastered the complex production technology using two chemical exchange processes viz. H2S-H2O bithermal process and NH3-H2 monothermal process. India is one of the largest manufacturers of heavy water in the world and is meeting the heavy water requirements of the Indian Nuclear Power Programme. The plants based on Ammonia-Hydrogen (NH3-H2) exchange process are linked to the ammonia fertilizer plants for synthesis gas feed supply while H2S-H2O based plants are independent in this respect. HWB is successfully operating six Heavy Water Plants in the country. A technology demonstration plant using Water-Ammonia (H2O-NH3) deuterium exchange to make the ammonia based Heavy Water Plants independent of fertilizer plants is also developed and demonstrated at HWP, Baroda, Gujrat.  All Heavy Water Plants have well defined Safety & Environmental Policy and maintaining excellent records in these areas.
