Candidates age limit should be between 21-30 years as on 27-03-2017 (Candidate should have been born not earlier than 27-03-1987 and not later than 26-03-1996 both days inclusive). Age relaxation is applicable to 05 years for SC/ ST candidates, 03 years for OBC candidates & 10 years for PWD Candidates.
1. Candidates should possess LLB / B.L for Post No. 01.
2. Candidates should possess B.Sc in Agriculture/ Horticulture for Post No. 02.
3. Candidates should possess Post Graduation in Hindi with English as one of the subjects in Graduation or Post Graduation in English with Hindi as one of the subjects in Graduation for Post No. 03.
4. Candidates should possess BE in Civil for Post No. 04.
5. Candidates should possess BE/ B Tech (Marine) for Post No. 05.
6. Candidates should possess BE/ B Tech (Aeronautical) for Post No. 06.
7. Candidates should possess CA/ ICWA for Post No. 07.
8. Candidates should possess B.E/ B. Tech Engineer/ MCA/ IT/ Computer Science for Post No 08 with relevant experience.

About GIC:
The entire general insurance business in India was nationalised by General Insurance Business (Nationalisation) Act, 1972 (GIBNA).The Government of India (GOI), through Nationalisation took over the shares of 55 Indian insurance companies and the undertakings of 52 insurers carrying on general insurance business.General Insurance Corporation of India (GIC) was formed in pursuance of Section 9(1) of GIBNA. It was incorporated on 22 November 1972 under the Companies Act, 1956 as a private company limited by shares. GIC was formed for the purpose of superintending, controlling and carrying on the business of general insurance.As soon as GIC was formed, GOI transferred all the shares it held of the general insurance companies to GIC. Simultaneously, the nationalised undertakings were transferred to Indian insurance companies.
