Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme(ECHS) Polyclinic has given an employment notification for the recruitment of 89 Data Entry Operator (DEO), Safaiwala, Pharmacist, Lab Assistant, Lab Tech & Other vacancies on contractual basis. Candidate age should be above 21 years
Candidates should have Graduation for post-1, MD/ MS in Specialty concerned for post-2, recognized medical qualification included in the first of second schedule of part II of the third schedule(other than Licentiate qualifications) of the Indian medical Council and PG degree in the concerned specially for post-3, MBBS Degree for post-4, BDS for post-5, Diploma for post-6,7, Diploma in Medical Lab Technology from a Recognized Institution for post-8, DMLT/ Class-I Lab Tech Course for post-9, passed 10+2 with Science or equivalent and two years Diploma in Dental Hygienist/ Dental Mechanic Course Registered with Central/ State Govt. or Dental Council of India for post-10, B Pharmacy or 10+2 with Science stream (Physics, Chemistry, Biology from a recognized Board/ Institute for post-11, Literate for post-12, Class-I Driver MT (Armed Forces) Poses a civil driving license(LMV) for post-13, Etc.. Eligible candidates can send their application along with self attested photo copies of all educational of 10, 10+2, UG/ PG, Diploma, experience certificate, two passport size photos only by post to the Station Headquarters (ECHS), Fort Saint George, Chennai?600009 on or before 14-08-2017 & attend for walk in interview along with original certificates, testimonials on 30 & 31-08-2017.

About ECHS:
1. Retired Armed Forces personnel till 2002 could avail medical facilities only for specific high cost surgery/treatment for a limited number of diseases covered under the Army Group Insurance(Medical Branch Scheme) (AGI(MBS)) and Armed Forces Group Insurance Scheme(Management Information System) (AFGIS (MIS)) schemes. These medicare schemes could provide some relief to the ESM, but it was not a comprehensive scheme as compared to and available for other Central Government Employees. Therefore, the requirement was felt of establishing a medicare system which could provide quality medicare to the retirees of the Armed Forces.

2. Based on this noble aim, and after detailed deliberations, a comprehensive scheme has taken shape as ECHS, authorised vide Government of India, Ministry of Defence letter No 22(i) 01/US/D(Res) dated 30 Dec 2002. The ECHS was launched with effect from 01 Apr 2003. With the advent of this scheme. Ex-servicemen pensioners and their dependants who were only entitled for treatment in service hospital are now authorised treatment, not only in service hospitals, but also in those civil/private hospitals which are specifically empanelled with the ECHS

3. The Scheme is financed by Govt of India.
