Job Notification in Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) in Chennai its a Polyclinic has given an employment notification for the recruitment of 77 OIC, Medical Officer (MO), Medical Specialist, Dental Officer, Nursing Asst, Dental Asst, Dental Hyg/ Tech, Lab Tech, Lab Asst, Pharmacist, Peon, Driver, Female Attendant, Chowkidar, Safai Karmaohart vacancies on contractual basis. Eligible candidates may apply in the prescribed format on or before 02-08-2017.

Candidates should have Graduation for post-1, MBBS Degree for post-2, MD/ MS in Speciality concerned for post-3, BDS for post-4, B.Sc (Medical Lab Technology) Or Matriculation/ Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary (10+2) with Science, Diploma in Medical Lab Technology from a Recognized Institution for post-5, DMLT/ Class-I Lab Tech Course for post-6, passed 10+2 with Science or equivalent and two years Diploma in Dental Hygienist/Dental Mechanic Course Registered with Central/ State Govt. or Dental Council of India for post-7, DMN, Dip/ Class I NAC(Armed Forces) for post-8, B Pharmacy or 10+2 with Science stream (Physics, Chemistry, Biology from a recognized Board/ Institute for post-9, Edn-8, Class-I Driver MT(Armed Forces) Poses a civil driving license(LMV) for post-10, Literate for post-11, 14, Education-Class 8th or GD trade for Armed Forces personal for post-12, Education Class-B GD Grade(Armed Forces) for post-13.
Eligible candidates can send their application along with attested copies ofrelevant certificates to Station HQ ECHS Cell, C/ O HQ Telengana & Andhra sub area, Bolarum Post, Secendrabad-10 on or before 02-08-2017.
About ECHS:
1. Retired Armed Forces personnel till 2002 could avail medical facilities only for specific high cost surgery/treatment for a limited number of diseases covered under the Army Group Insurance(Medical Branch Scheme) (AGI(MBS)) and Armed Forces Group Insurance Scheme(Management Information System) (AFGIS (MIS)) schemes. These medicare schemes could provide some relief to the ESM, but it was not a comprehensive scheme as compared to and available for other Central Government Employees. Therefore, the requirement was felt of establishing a medicare system which could provide quality medicare to the retirees of the Armed Forces.
2. Based on this noble aim, and after detailed deliberations, a comprehensive scheme has taken shape as ECHS, authorised vide Government of India, Ministry of Defence letter No 22(i) 01/US/D(Res) dated 30 Dec 2002. The ECHS was launched with effect from 01 Apr 2003. With the advent of this scheme. Ex-servicemen pensioners and their dependants who were only entitled for treatment in service hospital are now authorised treatment, not only in service hospitals, but also in those civil/private hospitals which are specifically empanelled with the ECHS
3. The Scheme is financed by Govt of India.
