Candidates should possess Master Degree/ Diploma in Mass Communication/ Journalism for Post No. 01, Master Degree in Socail Work/ Psychology from UGC recognised university for Post No 02, Madhyamic or its equivalent examination passed from a recognised Board for Post No. 03 & 04, Graduation in Sociology/ Psychology/ Human Development for Post No. 05 and Graduation with O Level from DOEACC/ NIELIT or Post Graduation Diploma in Computer Application or B.Sc in Computer Science or B.Sc in IT or Bachelors of Computer Application for Post No. 06 with relevant experience.
Based on competency assessment test & interview.

Tripura is one of the smallest state in the country located at Northeast India ,  covers 10,491 square km.  and bordered by Bangladesh to the North, South, and West.

In 15 October, 1949, the princely state merged with the Indian Union. Initially, a part 'C' state, it became a Union territory with the reorganization of states in 1956. In 1972, Tripura attained the status of a full-fledged state.
 
Tripura comes second next to Assam in-respect of population and population density among the North Eastern States of India. As per 2011 census the state population is 36,73,917 with 18,74,376 males and 17,99,541 females, constituting  0.3% of the country's population. Approximately 30% of the state population belongs to scheduled tribes.

The sex ratio of the state is 960 females per thousand males, higher than the national ratio 940. The density of population is 350 persons per square kilometer. Tripura has achieved the first position in literacy with 94.65 percent which is much higher than the national average 74.04 percent.
