Candidates age should be up to 35 years for men & 40 years for women for Post 1, 40 years for men, 45 years for Women for Post 2. Age relaxation is applicable as per rules.
Candidates should possess Master?s degree in Organic Chemistry/ Bio Chemistry, Bachelor Degree or with NET qualification for Post 1, PhD in Agriculture or Master Degree in Agriculture, Bachelor Degree with 60% marks for post 2 & relevant experience.
Candidates are selected based on written test/ interview.
Eligible candidates can appear for interview along with bio-data, attetsed copies of testimonials, one passport size photo, original certificates on 04-01-2017 at 10:30 AM.

About Central Tobacco Research Institute:    
Tobacco crop is cultivated in an area of 045 M ha (027 of the net cultivated area) producing 750 M kg of tobacco leaf.India is the 2nd largest producer and exporter after China and Brazil, respectively.The production of Flue-Cured Virginia (FCV) tobacco is about 300 million kg from an area of 020 M ha while 450 M kg non-FCV tobacco is produced from an area of 025 M ha.In the global scenario, Indian tobacco accounts for 10 of the area and 9% of the total production.By virtue of the dominant role played by this commercial crop, the Indian Central Tobacco Committee (ICTC) established Central Tobacco Research Institute (CTRI) in Rajahmundry (Andhra Pradesh) in 1947.The Institute was under the administrative control of ICTC, Madras from 1947 to 1965 and subsequently transferred to the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi.
