Candidates age should be 18-30 years for general category, 18-35 years for SC/ ST, and 18-33 for OBC, 18-35 years for widows/ divorced and women judicially separated from their husbands and not remarried (40 years for SC/ST), 18-40 years for post graduate/graduates for Post 8 to 12, 35 to 40 years for Assistant Teacher (TGT). Age relaxation is applicable as per rules. For more information refer the notification.
Candidates should possess Masters degree with 55% of marks or its equivalent grade or B in the UGC seven point scale for Post 1, Good academic record plus Masters Degree with 55% of marks or equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven point scale for Post 2, Post Graduation medical qualification from a recognized Institution for Post 3, MBBS recognized by MCI, MD/MS recognized by MCI in any clinical subject for Post 4, MBBS recognized by MCI, M.S./M.D. in General Medicine/ General Surgery/Obs. & Gynecology/ Orthopedics/ Pathology for Post 5, : M.S./ M.D. in the relevant post in General Surgery/ Orthopedics/ General Medicine/ Pathology for Post 6, Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Masters Degree level in a Social Sciences /Humanities from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university with NET/ SLET/ SET qualification

ABOUT Banaras Hindu University (BHU):


Banaras Hindu University commonly referred to as BHU; formerly known as Central Hindu College is a public central university located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. Established in 1916 by Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya,[1] BHU is the largest residential universities in Asia, with over 35,000 students.[4][5] The university comprises all castes, creeds, religions and genders, and is on the list of Institutes of National Importance.

The university's main campus spread over 1,300 acres (5.3 km2) was built on land donated by the Kashi Naresh, the hereditary ruler of Banaras ("Kashi" being an alternative name for Banaras or Varanasi). The Banaras Hindu University, South campus, spread over 2,700 acres (11 km2),[6] hosts the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (Agriculture Science Centre)[7] and is located in Barkachha in Mirzapur district, about 60 km (37 mi) from Banaras. The University is also planning to set up a campus in Bihar.[8]

BHU is organised into 6 institutes and 14 faculties (streams) and about 140 departments[9][10]. Total student enrollment at the university exceeds 30000, and includes students from over 34 nations.[11] It has over 75 hostels for resident students. Several of its colleges, including engineering (IIT-BHU), management (IM-BHU, erstwhile FMS-BHU), science, linguistics, journalism & mass communication, performing arts, law, agriculture (IAS-BHU), medicine (IMS-BHU) and Institute of Environment And Sustainable Development (IESD-BHU) The university's engineering institute was designated an Indian Institutes of Technology in June 2012.
