Job notification in Bihar Electricity Regulatory Commission (BERC) for Stenographer Posts.Eligible candidates can apply in prescribed application format on or before 20-11-2016 by 05:00 PM

Candidate minimum age limit is 18 years & maximum age limit 40 years for Backward Class/ Extremely Backward class, 42 years for Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes & others is applicable as per rules.
Candidates should possess Graduation Degree from a recognised University with proficiency in typing (40 wpm), shorthand (80wpm) & knowledge of computer operation including MS office, internet & email.
Shortlisted candidates will be called for test in typing, stenography & computer operation.
Eligible candidates can send their application in prescribed format along with self attested copies of all academic qualification, mark sheets, caste residence other testimonials, write Name of Post on top of envelope by registered post/ speed post to Secretary, Bihar Electricity Regulatory Commission, Vidyut Bhawan- II, J.L Nehru Marg, Patna 800021 on or before 20-11-2016 by 05:00 PM

About BERC:
The Bihar Electricity Regulatory Commission has been established by the Government of Bihar under Section 17 of the Electricity Regulatory Commissions Act,1998 vide Government of Bihar Notification no. 1284 dated 15th April, 2002. The Electricity Regulatory Commissions Act, 1998 along with the Indian Electricity Act, 1910 and Electricity (Supply) Act, 1948 was repealed by Section 185 of the Electricity Act, 2003. The first proviso of Section 82 (1) has ensured continuity of the Commission along with that of State Electricity Regulatory Commissions by laying down that the State Regulatory Commission established by the State Govt. under Section 17 of Electricity Regulatory Commissions Act, 1998, and functioning as such immediately before the appointed date shall be the State Commission for the purpose of the Electricity Act, 2003.
