APSC Recruitment 2017 Apply for 10 DEEO, District Museum Officer Posts

Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has notified a recruitment notification for 10 post of Deputy Director/IS/DEEO, District Museum Officer.Eligible candidates should send their applications in the prescribed format along with attested copies of required documents on or before last date 17-10-2017.

Applicants age should minimum 21 years and maximum 43 years for as on 01-01-2017. Upper age limit is relaxable as per government rules for different categories.
candidates should Posses Master Degree in any stream with B.T/B.Ed Degree with Uniformly brilliant Academic Career & Possessing 10 years of Teaching Experience in School/College (or) 10 years Experience in Administration of which 05 years must be in Teaching for Post(1), Master Degree in Sanskrit/Archaeology/History with Ancient History (or) MA/M.Sc in Anthropology with 55% marks and knowledge of museum method (OR) MA in Museology for Post(2). Based on Screening Test followed by Viva-voce Interview conducted by APSC.
Eligible candidates can download the prescribed format application form from the official website www.apsc.nic.in. Applicants should send their applications in the prescribed format along with attested copies of required documents to Deputy Secretary Assam Public Service Commission Jawaharnagar Khanapara Guwahati-22 on or before the closing date 17-10-2017.

About APSC :

The Assam Public Service Commission came into existence on Ist April, 1937 in accordance with the provision of the Govt. of India Act, 1935 with Mr James Hezelett, a retired ICS officer from London, as its first Chairman. Till framing a new regulation in 1951, five more officers mostly retired ICS officer, held the office of the Chairman for different period after Mr James Hezelett. On India becoming Republic, the regulations of the Commission were framed by the Governor of Assam in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 318 of the Constitution of India and the same came into force w.e.f. Ist September 1951. Also in the same year the Assam Public Service Commission (Limitation of Functions) Regulation was promulgated in exercise of the powers conferred by the provision of clause II of Article 320 of the Constitution.
