Job notification in Government of Arunachal Pradesh, Office of the Director General of Police, Police Headquarters, Itanagar has invited a notification for the recruitment of 897 Constable (GD) Civil Police (Male/ Female) and Constable (Band/ Bugler) IRBN (only Male) in Arunachal Pradesh Police under various districts. Eligible candidates can apply in the prescribed application format on or before 30-09-2017.

Candidates age should be between 17 - 21 years for S.No:A, 18 - 22 years for S.No:B as on 01-01-2017.
Candidates should possess Class X pass (for General/ APST) for S.No :A, Class X pass (for General/ APST), knowledge in playing Band/ Bugle for S.No :B Posts.
Based on Written Test, Physical Test, Physical Standard Test, Trade Test, Medical Test, Merit List, Documents Verification.
Applicants should pay Rs. 10/- for APST candidates & Rs. 40/- for General candidates in favour of Asst. Inspector General of Police (E), PHQ, Itanagar under Head of Account - 0055 Police. Eligible candidates send their application in the prescribed format along with self attested copies of all relevant certificates as mentioned in the notification, 4 recent passport size photographs with signature on them, a treasury challan by ordinary post to concerned address or by hand at their respective SP Office from 30-09-2017.

About Arunachal Pradesh Police :

In the year 1979,  4 more Police Stations started functioning. Since then there has been speedy process of modernization, development and expansion of the Arunachal Pradesh Police. On 20th February, 1987, Arunachal Pradesh acquired the status of a State and thereafter the force has taken rapid strides. The Arunachal Pradesh Police got the privilege of being headed by Director General of Police on Feb 13, 2002. Sh. Suresh Roy, IPS, 1968 batch of AGMU- Cadre is the first Director General of Police of Arunachal Pradesh Police. The State Police is marching ahead to newer heights under the dynamic leadership of the present Director General of Police. At present there are 3 Ranges, 22 Police districts, 102 notified Police Stations (out of which presently, 71 Police Stations are functioning), 20 Out Posts and 25 Check Gates 2 AAP Bns and 5 India Reserve (IR) Bns. Now, the total strength of Arunachal Pradesh Police is 12024.
