Candidate minimum age is 21 years & maximum age is 43 years as on 03-03-2016 as per Govt. Upper age relaxation upto 05 years for SC/ ST(P) & ST(H) candidates is applicable.
Candidates should possess Post Graduation (MA) in Education with 55% marks from any recognized University, B.Ed/ M.Ed with 55% marks for education subject & Master Degree in the concerned subject with 55% marks from any recognized University, M.Ed with 55% marks for all subjects and must have at least 5 years teaching experience in elementary or secondary education.
Candidates will be selected based on a screening test/ viva voce interview
Eligible candidates can send their signed & accompanied by all particulars application in prescribed format, affix 01 copy of recent photograph on the space provided in the application along with attested copies of certificates/ mark sheets from HSLC on wards and also caste certificate/ registration certificate/ experience certificate etc to Commission?s office on or before Extended to 30-09-2016.
About Assam Public Service Commission:
The Assam Public Service Commission came into existence on Ist April, 1937 in accordance with the provision of the Govt. of India Act, 1935 with Mr James Hezelett, a retired ICS officer from London, as its first Chairman.Till framing a new regulation in 1951, five more officers mostly retired ICS officer, held the office of the Chairman for different period after Mr James Hezelett. On India becoming Republic, the regulations of the Commission were framed by the Governor of Assam in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 318 of the Constitution of India and the same came into force w.e.f. Ist September 1951. Also in the same year the Assam Public Service Commission (Limitation of Functions) Regulation was promulgated in exercise of the powers conferred by the provision of clause II of Article 320 of the Constitution.
